What We Fund
As a philanthropic partner of the National Park Service, CNMF funds the greatest needs of Cabrillo National Monument such as programs and activities that:
Protect park resources.
Educate the public about these lands to create future park stewards.
Enhance the visitor experience to ensure a memorable experience that lasts a lifetime.
In order for the Foundation and the Park to continue making an impact for visitors, the San Diego community, and our youth, we need your support. Your taxes and entrance fees just cannot cover all the essential Park needs, so with generous contributions from park lovers like you, the Foundation makes these programs happen.

PROTECT + PRESERVE
Our parks focus on native landscaping to minimize water usage and collect and grow seeds from the park to replace non-native plants in vulnerable areas. Supported by CNMF, the Weed Warriors Program removed over 1,400 bags of non-native plants, while leading numerous seed collection outings. The Greenhouse Crew planted 800+ native plants, aided by CNMF supplies. Additionally, CNMF funded an intern to assist in non-native plant removal.
EDUCATE + INFORM
The Cabrillo National Monument Foundation plays an important role in connecting the community to the rich history and cultural significance of the monument. Diverse educational opportunities, including school field trips and internships, are available year-round. As today's youth to explore and appreciate the park, we ensure the Cabrillo National Monument’s role in educating future generations.
ENHANCE + ENGAGE
CNMF donors fund programs and activities that enhance the visitor experience. These contributions enrich the quality and accessibility of experiences enjoyed by visitors, creating a deeper connection with the park's natural and cultural heritage.
