Program Description
Everyone is familiar with the western monarch butterfly, but a wonderful diversity of lesser-known butterflies also call San Diego home—some of which are unfortunately among the rarest in the country. Learn about ongoing conservation efforts for two of these seldom seen species, as well as an update on the soon-to-open Sanford Children’s Zoo at the San Diego Zoo. This new habitat features the immersive 7,000 sf Spineless Marvels experience, showcasing the incredible roles that insects and other invertebrates play in our world.
