Development Coordinator
Cabrillo National Monument Foundation is seeking a part-time Development Coordinator to help execute the Foundation events and membership program, advance annual fundraising strategies, and implement communications. This position reports to the Executive Director.
Responsibilities (include but not limited to):
- Help plan and execute Foundation events
- Maintain calendar of events and fundraising activities
- Coordinate member relations and member recruitment program
- Provide high level of customer service and care to our members
- Process membership renewal letters & donor acknowledgments
- Help implement the annual fundraising plan (e.g. thank-you mailings, annual campaigns, etc.)
- Research donor cultivation opportunities with relevant businesses, funding entities, and partners
- Manage Donor Perfect database
- Help to implement social media, e-communications, and website
- Attend outreach events to cultivate relationships and prospects
- Assist the Executive Director and perform other duties as requested
Qualifications:
- At least 1-2 years of experience in fundraising, events, and/or communications
- Nonprofit experience preferred
- Experience with CRM, Donor Perfect preferred
- Advanced experience using Microsoft Office GSuite products
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to/from Cabrillo National Monument
Knowledge and Skills:
- Has visited, believes in, and is an advocate for Cabrillo National Monument
- Travels to and has a love for national parks
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a collaborative team
- Proficient writing, grammar, and editing skills are required
- Ability to relate well and network with many types of people
- Adaptable
- Strong creative problem-solving skills
- Very organized with time and handling multiple projects
Additional Information: Part-time, flexible schedule, 24 hours per week, $16 – 18 per hour, 403b retirement plan, discount at Cabrillo Store, some evenings and weekends events throughout the year.
